Caminaré: The Echo of My Steps is a powerful one-man cabaret blending Latin dance, original music, and raw storytelling. Join World Salsa Champion Mario Acosta-Cevallos as he shares a deeply personal, heartfelt journey—from growing up in a migrant household to embracing his truth as a queer Latino performer.
Told through song, memory, and movement, Caminaré invites audiences into a living gallery of Mario’s past: the pressure of perfection, the glitter and grit of the stage, the silence between the applause. Through a series of evocative vignettes, he confronts inner battles, celebrates cultural pride, and dances his way through the complicated terrain of identity, self-doubt, and healing.
With humour, vulnerability, and electrifying choreography, this show is an offering—to those who have ever felt the need to hide, and to those ready to be seen. Caminaré is a celebration of resilience, self-discovery, and the courage it takes to walk your own path—no matter how long it takes to find it.
